Agreement to These Terms
These Terms & Conditions apply to the Perkiomen Pet & Home Concierge website, booking requests, Meet & Greets, pet care visits, vacation home checks, payment transactions, and related communications. By using our website, submitting a request, scheduling service, or purchasing care, you agree to these Terms.
“Perkiomen,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Perkiomen Pet & Home Concierge. “Customer,” “you,” and “your” refer to the person requesting, booking, or paying for services.
Our Services
Perkiomen provides local pet care and simple vacation home check services for families in and around our service area. Depending on the package, services may include feeding, fresh water, walks or yard time, cat care and litter checks, approved medication support, mail and package retrieval, plant watering, trash can service, lights or curtains routines, thermostat visual checks, door/window visual checks, storm or unusual condition notes, photo updates, and a Vacation Confidence Report.
We are not a kennel, veterinary clinic, home security company, property manager, cleaning service, repair service, or emergency response provider. We do not provide veterinary care, medical diagnosis, training, grooming, repairs, maintenance, cleaning, security monitoring, or guaranteed property protection.
Meet & Greet Requirement
A New Client Meet & Greet may be required before the first booking. The Meet & Greet allows us to meet your pets, review routines, confirm access, understand home check needs, discuss safety concerns, and determine whether the requested service is a good fit.
Completing a Meet & Greet does not guarantee that every future service request will be accepted. We may decline or modify service based on pet behavior, access concerns, travel distance, route capacity, scheduling availability, weather, safety, or other practical considerations.
Booking, Service Area, and Availability
Service availability depends on route capacity, staffing, travel distance, package type, pet needs, home access, and scheduling constraints. Founding service areas are intentionally limited so we can protect quality, route density, and reliability.
We may offer different packages based on distance from our home base or route density. Some care levels may not be available in every location. Requests are not confirmed until accepted by us and, when required, paid or secured by deposit.
Customer Responsibilities
You agree to provide complete, accurate, and current information about pets, health conditions, behavior, feeding, medications, routines, emergency contacts, veterinarian information, home access, alarms, parking, keys, lockboxes, gates, travel dates, and home-care instructions.
You are responsible for ensuring that we can safely and legally access the property at scheduled times. This includes working keys or codes, accurate alarm instructions, safe parking and entry conditions, and any permissions required by landlords, HOAs, buildings, gated communities, or other third parties.
Pet Health, Behavior, and Safety
You must disclose known medical conditions, medication needs, bite history, aggression, escape risk, leash reactivity, fear triggers, household hazards, resource guarding, indoor accidents, mobility limitations, or any other information that may affect pet, caregiver, or property safety.
We may decline, pause, shorten, modify, or cancel service if we believe conditions are unsafe, instructions are incomplete, pets cannot be handled safely, required supplies are unavailable, or the home environment creates unreasonable risk.
Medication Support
Medication support may be available only when approved in advance and when instructions are clear. We do not diagnose conditions, administer injections unless specifically agreed in writing, make medical decisions, or guarantee that a pet will accept medication. You remain responsible for veterinary instructions, medication supply, dosage accuracy, and emergency veterinary costs.
Home Access and Property Conditions
You are responsible for providing a safe property environment. Walkways, stairs, driveways, yards, lighting, locks, gates, and entry areas should be reasonably safe and accessible. You must notify us of cameras, alarm systems, restricted areas, hazardous materials, construction, pest issues, aggressive animals, or any unusual property condition.
If we cannot access the property because of inaccurate instructions, failed locks, alarm issues, unavailable keys, blocked access, unsafe conditions, or third-party restrictions, the visit may still be billable.
Payments, Deposits, and Pricing
Prices, deposits, package descriptions, and service availability may change. Payment may be required to reserve a Meet & Greet, visit window, package, or care plan. Taxes, processing fees, holiday fees, extended-distance fees, late-booking fees, or other charges may apply where disclosed.
Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers such as Stripe or WooCommerce-supported services. By paying online, you also agree to any applicable payment processor terms.
Cancellations, Credits, and Refunds
Cancellation, credit, and refund decisions may depend on timing, route planning, trip length, holiday demand, deposit status, and whether visits have already begun. Once visits have started, completed visits are non-refundable. Deposits or reserved time may be non-refundable where disclosed during booking.
If we must cancel or reschedule because of illness, emergency, unsafe conditions, severe weather, access issues, or events outside our reasonable control, we will try to communicate promptly and identify a practical next step. Any special cancellation terms provided in writing for a specific booking will control that booking.
Visit Windows and Updates
We make reasonable efforts to complete visits within agreed windows, but exact arrival times may vary because of traffic, weather, pet needs, route logistics, access issues, or emergencies. Visit updates, photos, and Vacation Confidence Reports are intended to provide practical confirmation of care and home checks.
Updates are not a guarantee that every possible condition, hazard, maintenance issue, security issue, or property concern has been discovered.
Emergencies
If we believe a pet or home situation requires urgent attention, we may contact you, your emergency contact, a veterinarian, animal care provider, utility provider, building contact, locksmith, repair provider, or other appropriate resource. You authorize us to take reasonable steps in the best interest of the pet or property when we cannot promptly reach you.
You are responsible for veterinary, emergency, repair, locksmith, utility, transportation, or third-party costs unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Weather, Utilities, and Events Outside Our Control
Weather, power outages, utility failures, road closures, storms, natural events, illness, public emergencies, third-party actions, or other events outside our reasonable control may affect service. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate and adapt, but we are not responsible for delays or non-performance caused by events beyond our control.
Limitations of Responsibility
We use reasonable care and follow the information provided by the customer. However, pets and homes involve risks that cannot be fully eliminated. We are not responsible for losses, injuries, damages, escapes, illness, property conditions, security events, utility failures, hidden hazards, third-party actions, or consequences caused by inaccurate instructions, undisclosed information, defective equipment, unsafe conditions, or events outside our reasonable control.
Indemnification
You agree to reimburse and hold Perkiomen harmless from claims, losses, costs, damages, or expenses arising from inaccurate information, undisclosed pet behavior or health conditions, unsafe property conditions, third-party claims, unpaid charges, or your breach of these Terms.
Website Use
You agree not to misuse the website, submit false information, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with site operations, upload malicious code, scrape content without permission, or use the site for unlawful purposes. Website content is provided for general information and may change without notice.
Intellectual Property
Website text, brand assets, images, graphics, page layouts, service names, report formats, and related materials are owned by or licensed to Perkiomen Pet & Home Concierge unless otherwise noted. You may not copy, reuse, sell, publish, or distribute them without permission.
Privacy
Our collection and use of information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the website or services, you acknowledge that information may be collected and used as described there.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date above reflects the latest version. Continued use of the website or services after updates means the revised Terms apply.
